Hands
There will be new hands leading Blaenavon as Lynne Turner take up MD role

Blaenavon Town Band has announced the appointment of their new MD, Lynne Turner.

Lynne will take up the role with immediate effect and will lead the Torafen band at the forthcoming Welsh League contest in Fishguard.

Conducting name

The vastly experienced player has already made a name for herself as a conductor, leading the Crwbin Band from West Wales to renewed success before recently stepping down from the role.

Focus

Band Chairperson Lucinda Gough told 4BR: "We are so pleased to welcome Lynne as our new MD and look forward to working together.

After an unsettled few months, her enthusiasm and experience has come at a perfect time and we are now focused on the Fishguard contest with a renewed sense of confidence."
