BBE Chairman Mike Kilroy told 4BR: "We have recently welcomed David Thornton and John Doyle to our board of trustees and look forward to working with two such talented musicians, both of whom have tasted banding at every level and are also deeply involved in the development of young players.

However, in order to complete our skill-set on the BBE board we would still like to make two further appointments to oversee see our fundraising, marketing and PR operation. We would therefore be delighted to hear from anyone with an interest in progressing the work of Brass Bands England."
