New term bell rings at Foden's Youth and Junior Bands

There are wonderful musical opportunities to be enjoyed at the Foden's Youth and Junior Bands this year — led by great tutors and with fantastic team support.

Foden's Youth Band
Why not be a part of the brilliant Foden's Youth Band or the Foden's Junior Band this new term?

With the arrival of the new school term, Foden's Youth and Junior Bands are preparing for another exciting year of music making.

The Foden's Youth Band will launch their fifth season with a weekend course later this month where Michael Fowles and Mark Bousie will lead the band through a series of workshops, sectionals and full rehearsals culminating in an afternoon concert alongside partner ensembles Lions Youth Brass and Macclesfield Youth Brass Band.

Youth Band

Since 2012 the Youth Band, which accepts players of Grade 5+ (aged up to 21), has gone from strength to strength, enjoying guidance from Foden's team of experienced tutors and conductors.

Last January the band accepted yet another invitation to perform at the prestigious RNCM Festival of Brass (above).

Junior Band

In September 2015 Foden's added a new ensemble to the family, with the formation of the Foden's Junior Band.

Directed by Anna Hughes-Williams the Foden's Junior Band has been a welcome addition, accepting players of Grade 2-5 (aged 18 or under), with the band quickly developing and accepting many new members.

Over the next year, both bands look forward to some exciting opportunities, such as the new Foden's Youth Festival which will be held in partnership with Salford UniversityFoden's Band

Exciting opportunities

Over the next year, both bands look forward to some exciting opportunities, such as the new Foden's Youth Festival which will be held in partnership with Salford University and feature some of the country's leading Youth organisations performing in a groundbreaking non-competitive festival.

Foden's are incredibly grateful to Besson, Love Music Trust, Accent Music Hub and RNCM for the support which enables young musicians to experience the opportunities that we offer.
