Middleton to round off amazing year with a celebration of Perseverance

The 140th year anniversary celebrations of the Middleton Band will be rounded off in appropriate musical style.

  Perseverance has been the key to 140 years of music making for the Middleton Band

The Middleton Band's 140th anniversary celebrations will culminate on Saturday 1st October with a special reunion event for all past and present members as well as associates and friends who have been part of their success over the decades.

Amazing year

The band has enjoyed an amazing anniversary year so far, and has celebrated with special events such as releasing a new CD, producing an updated logo, gaining delivery of new walking out uniforms, producing a short film commission, enjoying a concert with the Yamaha Neo Brass Ensemble and most recently, having a wonderful time on a tour to the Isle of Man.

The event will also include a performance of 'Perseverance', by MD Andrew Baker, which was commissioned to celebrate the 140th anniversary4BR

Reunion event

The reunion event will comprise of a formal evening at Middleton Arena including a champagne reception, meal and short performances from both the youth and senior bands.

The event will also include a performance of 'Perseverance', by MD Andrew Baker, which was commissioned to celebrate the 140th anniversary and which also features on their CD of the same name.
