We had another great response to our Friday quiz, with our winner of the latest trio of CDs being Adrian Longbottom — who plays second euphonium with the Emley Band in West Yorkshire.
He knew it was the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals that was the link between a famous test-piece used both at the British Open and National Finals (Diadem of Gold), a 1967 pop song hit by Jeff Beck (Hi Ho Silver Lining) and an 1835 comic opera (and famous overture) by composer Daniel Auber (The Bronze Horse).
