New management leadership at Brighouse & Rastrick

Brighouse & Rastrick announce new management leadership duo as they plan for the future.

Brighouse in Lille
Brighouse hope new management leadership will keep them ahead of their rivals in the future.

There is management change at Brighouse & Rastrick following the announcement of a newly appointed Chairman and President of the Yorkshire band.

New President

Lyndon Stacey has taken on the role of Band President following the resignation of Paul Beaumont.

A successful Sales Director, as well as cornet and flugel player, he has been a Vice-President since 2013 and brings extensive business connections to his new role.

He told 4BR: "I was named after a former principal euphonium so I suppose Brighouse & Rastrick was always going to play a major part in my life. Together with a dynamic and proactive management team I'm now looking forward to playing an important role in taking the band forward."

New Chairman

Meanwhile, the new Chairman is Steve March, who takes over the role from Dean Redfern. Dean left the band after seven successful years to spend more time with family and continue his conducting.

Having played most lower-brass instruments at top level banding, Steve helped Brighouse last year on trombone before ultimately joining on Eb bass, and also brings extensive experience in operation, budget and business planning.

He told 4BR: "The same principles apply to running a band as they do with business — even more so in challenging times where finances are stretched and innovation is needed. I'm looking forward to working with Lyndon, Band Manager Alan Morrison and the great new management team to set the band up for a bright future off stage, as well as on it."

Both Lyndon and Steve have a valuable set of skills that we require and we are excited to welcome them to lead the committee and band towards a bright futureBand spokesman Ryan Watkins

Move forward

Meanwhile, Band spokesman Ryan Watkins added: "We were sad to see Paul and Dean leave the band, as both gave an incredible amount of time and effort in leading the band so successfully.

We wish them all the best and hope they remain a close friend to the Brighouse & Rastrick family.

Both Lyndon and Steve have a valuable set of skills that we require and we are excited to welcome them to lead the committee and band towards a bright future."
