Corry heads to USA

Dr Jonathan Corry will be taking his brand of musical work to the United States to strengthen UK and USA links.

Fresh from his award of a Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the University of Salford, Enfield Citadel Band Bandmaster Dr. Jonathan Corry will be the guest at this year's Central Music Institute held in Wisconsin in the United States.

During the 10 day music course, he will conduct, tutor, perform and introduce students to new works as well as those from the classic era of Salvation Army banding.

Looking forward

Jonathan told 4BR that he is eagerly looking forward to working alongside Territorial Music Secretary, Dr Harold Burgmayer and the staff and faculty at the prestigious Territorial Music camp.

Kay

Jonathan has been conducting Enfield Citadel since 2008 and was recently presented with his Ph.D. at a ceremony in the Lowry Theatre, Salford by Professor Jackie Kay MBE alongside comedian Peter Kay who received his honorary Doctorate from his Alma mater.
