The Rainford Band has announced that they are now seeking entrants for their popular Slow Melody Contest.

The event will take place at Rainford Civic Hall on the 2nd October, and will comprise of five sections: Under 12s, Under 16s, Open Age, Duets and Ensemble.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "After an extremely successful contest last year, it's exciting to see the event grow and evolve, attracting musicians from all over the country. We are also delighted to welcome back Lesley Poole, who will be adjudicating."
