Willebroek head to Austria ahead of Open assault

Brassband Willebroek will perform in another iconic venue as they prepare for the British Open in September.

Ahead of their appearance at the British Open Championship in Birmingham in September, and just a day after the Belgian National Holiday, Brassband Willebroek will head to Austria this weekend to perform in a concert in the world famous Innsbrucker Promenadenkonzerte in front of the Innsbrucker Hofburg (above).

Famous series

The band will make the nine hour coach trip to perform on Saturday for the evening concert which forms part of a famous series that has been held for the past 20 years featuring leading professional and amateur ensembles from throughout Europe.

We are honoured to be a part of this year's programme and we are grateful to the organisation for their invitation in association with Besson (Buffet Crampon)Willebroek Band spokesperson.

The band will perform works by Dan Price, Paul-Lovatt-Cooper, Astor Piazolla and Gabriel Faure as well substantial works such as 'Cambridge Variations'."
