Blidworth Welfare Band has announced the signing of two new players before they head to Cheltenham in September for their assault on the First Section National Finals.
New signings
Lewis Shaw returns on solo cornet following a period working in London to join up with recently appointed principal cornet Neil Escott.
Meanwhile, former Barnsley Metropolitan player Cathryn-Jane Rogers, joins the percussion section. Cathryn has just enjoyed success as a conductor of Deepcar Band, including a top-six finish at the Yorkshire Regional Championship in Bradford earlier this year.
