The Hepworth Band has announced the signing of the highly experienced Dave Woodward on second baritone — replacing long-serving band stalwart Steve Hopwood.

Dave began his playing career with Linthwaite and has notched-up many years of valuable experience playing with Marsden, Lindley, Lockwood, Rochdale, Yorkshire Imps and more recently, Elland.

Keen to improve

Conductor Mark Peacock, keen to improve on what has been an excellent year for the Yorkshire band, with podium finishes at the Yorkshire Area (above), Grand Shield and the Saddleworth Whit Friday marches, told 4BR that he was delighted with his new capture.

Dave will make his concert debut with Hepworth this Sunday 10th July for a local concert.
