There will a great programme of repertoire to be covered on this year's International Brass Band Summer School in Swansea — led by Prof Nicholas Childs.
Classics
Exciting works such as Paul Lovatt-Cooper's 'Vitae Aeternum' and 'Fire in the Blood', together with classics such as Edward Gregson's 'Prelude for an Occasion' and 'March Prelude', will be mixed together with favourites such as 'Pineapple Poll', 'Songs of the Quay', 'Mack and Mabel', 'Liberty Bell' and a massed finale of 'Variations on Laudate Dominum'.
Cory addition
In addition to the music being performed, it has also been announced that course delegates will be joined by Cory principal cornet star Tom Hutchinson, who will add even extra sparkle to a line-up of tutors that already includes Richard Marshall, Owen Farr, Chris Turner, Gary Curtin, David Thornton, Joe Cook, Matthew Routley and Brett Baker.
There is still time to book your place on the event — one which brilliantly combines one to one tuition with intensive section and ensemble rehearsals, conducting workshops and the chance to pick the brains of Edward Gregson!

Great attractions
That's not forgetting the great attractions that Swansea and the Mumbles area has to offer to relax before the course is rounded off with the popular Gala Concert, where a packed audience provides a great atmosphere for the delegates to showcase their work.
The Gala Concert is free and takes place on Friday 5th August, in Fulton House, Swansea University, Singleton park Campus (7.00pm)
