The Band of the Kings Division — one of the three professional brass bands in the Corps of Army Music within the British Army, will be performing a special charity concert for the ABF, the Soldiers' Charity, this Friday (June 17th) at the Sands Centre, Carlisle, commencing at 7.30pm.
Lifetime support
The ABF gives a lifetime of support to soldiers and former soldiers from the British Army and their immediate families when they are in need, through grants to individuals through their Regiments and Corps as well as through a wide range of specialist charities that sustain the British Army 'family', both at home and around the world.
Formed in 1944, they have worked with veterans of every conflict since, supporting all future generations of our soldiers and their dependents.
Busy weekend
It marks the start of a busy weekend for the band as they will also be performing on their doorstep in Preston the following day at the Preston Military Show at Fulwood Barracks — once at lunch time and again at 5.00pm for a massed bands finale.

Fly the flag
Both events form part of the band's remit to engage and develop links with local communities, as well as fly the flag for the Corps of Army Music to showcase its musical excellence.
