Foden's will travel to the Palace of Westminster in London next week to play a leading role in the 'National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast.'

The event on the 14th June is held with the permission of the offices of The Speaker and The Lord Speaker, and is an annual recognition of the contribution that Christianity makes to the national life of the UK.

MPs, Peers and guests

The Chairperson is Fiona Bruce, the Conservative MP for Congleton, whilst the main speaker will be Bishop Angaelos, General Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the UK, on the theme of 'The Church in the Middle East'.

Speaking about the forthcoming event Fiona Bruce MP commented: "The National Prayer Breakfast is the largest annual gathering in Parliament with seven hundred people attending including MPs, Peers and their guests from across the UK.

A different MP is invited to chair the National Prayer Breakfast each year and for the 2016 Prayer Breakfast it is my privilege to do so and therefore to be able to choose the musicians to accompany the event."

Highest level

She added: "As an internationally renowned brass band based in Sandbach in my constituency, playing at the highest level of musicianship in their field, I can think of no more suitable group to play at the event than Foden's.

I am very proud that Foden's are based in my constituency and am confident that all who attend the 2016 National Prayer Breakfast will be as deeply touched and inspired by the sensitivity of their music as I am every time I hear the play."
