Geneva Euphonium Artist, Glenn Van Looy recently visited Birmingham Conservatoire to perform a recital, as well as be an adjudicator at their end of term solo competitions.
Masterclass
Glenn also worked with the euphonium students and later held a performance masterclass accompanied by Joanne Sealey, where he showcased works from Singlee, Hummel, Horovitz, Deronge and Meechan, whilst he was also on hand to present the prestigious Conservatoire Brass Award to euphonium student Tzu-Hsiang Lin.
The Taiwanese performer started learning euphonium as a 13 year-old under the various teachings of Fu-Hsuan Duan, Min-Ju Kao, Yun-Hung Lin, and Yu-Ting Kuo, before becoming an undergraduate at Shih-Chin University Music Department in Taiwan.

Golden Hymn
He is also one of the founder members of the leading euphonium-tuba ensemble EuTuba in his home country as well as the first Taiwanese British style Brass Band — Golden Hymn Brass Band.
In 2014, Tzu-Hsiang came to Birmingham to study under Matthew White and David Childs and has enjoyed a wonderful time as solo euphonium of the Staffordshire Band.
