EYMS gain Haven of support in Blackpool

East Yorkshire Motor Services Band will be gaining a lot more on-line support than other rivals at the Grand Shield this year.

Just hours before they take to the stage at the 96th Spring Festival in Blackpool, the East Yorkshire Motor Services Band has received a major boost of support.

Haven Holiday Homes is the UKs leading holiday home provider and has been keen to find out more about the brass band world and the band in particular.

"Over the last few years we have become increasingly aware of the importance of the brass banding movement around the country, with so many of our customers and resort visitors telling us about their interest,"General Manager Neil Ankers told 4BR.

"With the EYMS Band on our doorstep so to speak near our wonderful Blue Dolphin Holiday Park in Yorkshire, we have begun to work more closely with them and are supporting their efforts this weekend. We are encouraging everyone on the resort to log into 4Barsrest to follow the action."

The Grand Shield contenders has enjoyed a close working partnership with the leading holiday resort company over the past year or so, and is also thrilled to be spearheading what they hope will become an innovative and beneficial link to the banding movement.

Bilton Silver Rugby Band
