The Haslingden & Helmshore Band in Rossendale, Lancashire and Royal Buckley Town Band in North Wales have announced musical partnerships with Dr Brett Baker.

Brett becomes MD at Haslingden &Helmshore and Musical Adviser at Royal Buckley with immediate effect.

Development

The partnership will also involve Brett assisting in the development of young conductors, young soloists and composers. It will allow students to get valuable teaching experience through the two bands respective youth band and training band programmes.

Alumni of the University of Salford will also be involved to further their musical experiences with valuable solo and conducting links.

These new associations with forward thinking bands will give students the best possible experiences as well as give the bands exciting opportunities to work with the brass and percussion stars of the futureDr Brett Baker
