Report & Result: 2016 WMBBA Solo, Duet & Ensemble

A brilliant day of music making as players from as far afield Bristol, Forest of Dean and Llangollen make it to a great contest event.

WMMBBA

The West Midlands Brass Band Association Solo, Duet & Ensemble proved to be a great success recently with entrants drawn for as far afield as Bristol, Forest of Dean and Llangollen to battle it out with players from local favourites such as Bilton and Shipston.

Impressed

Adjudicators Nigel Hall and Dave Bishop Rowe were certainly impressed with the standard of performances on show and were particularly impressed with the number of parents who had taken up playing in support of their children and were now performing at the contest themselves.

Association Chairman Barbara Dunscombe summed up the feelings of everyone when she commented. "What a brilliant day. Everyone enjoyed it all but particularly the youngsters early in the day. I'm shattered!"
