The Foss Dyke Band has announced the appointment of their new Musical Director, Colum O'Shea.

Experience

Colum was selected by the whole band from a field of six applicants and has been involved with brass bands all his life; most recently Blidworth Welfare where he spent the last eight years as a cornet player.

He has also been MD for the last three years at Newark & Sherwood Concert Band, which has increased in player numbers, concerts and popularity during his time there.

I'm really looking forward to taking on the appointment. Foss Dyke is a great organisation of people with a good local following that I hope to developNew MD, Colum O'Shea.
