The current Champion Band of Europe and recently crowned Yorkshire Regional Champion, Black Dyke will be making its first appearance at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham for over a decade in June.
The charity concert in aid of the Urostomy Association will see the Queensbury band return to the venue where they claimed the 1987 European title under the late, great Major Peter Parkes as well as performing at a memorable Eric Ball Centenary Concert in 2003 under Director of Music, Prof Nicholas Childs.
Excited
A spokesperson for the organisers told 4BR: "We didn't realise it was this long since the band had played at this wonderful hall.
I'm sure brass band fans from all over the country will be excited by the prospect of hearing Black Dyke on their long awaited return — and hopefully as European Champion once more."
