Special memories spark interest in Parkes concert

Everyone has special memories of the great Major Peter Parkes — so don't miss the tribute concert in Oldham next month.

More and more people are looking forward to the special concert celebrating the musical life of the great Major Peter Parkes.

The latest to share their memories of the former Black Dyke Musical Director are players Sandy Smith Garry Cutt, Colin Brook and Kevin Wadsworth who talk to Radio Leeds presenter David Hoyle.

Concert details

The 'Major Peter Parkes — A Legend Celebrated' concert will be held on Saturday 21st May at 2.30pm (the day after Whit Friday) at Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham.
