The Royal Northern College of Music will be hosting its first 'Wind & Brass Weekend' on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April.
The event is specifically aimed at wind and brass players and will feature concerts, playing sessions and workshops.
Open to players
Open to players of all ages, levels and abilities, there will be opportunities to perform alongside RNCM staff and students in two massed playing sessions — one for brass players on Saturday afternoon and another for full wind orchestra on Sunday morning.
Those attending can also explore the history of the brass ensemble in the Philip Jones Centre for Brass Symposium on Saturday afternoon, as well as gain insights into technique from some of the UK's finest wind players in a series of creative instrumental workshops on Sunday.

With trade stands featuring major wind and brass manufacturers and retailers from across the UK and beyond, it is hoped that the event will offer a wonderful opportunity for musicians and music lovers.
