Elland Silver Band recently held its annual 'Oscar' awards, where friends and family joined band members for a special Italian meal followed by the eagerly anticipated prize-giving.

When the golden envelopes were finally opened it was revealed that the various winners were Adam Hofland-Ward (Most Improved Player under 18); Jason Fox (Most Improved Player over 18); Dayle Squires and Anne Squires (joint winners of Most Promising Newcomer).

Meanwhile, MD, Daniel Brookes was presented with the award as 'Band Person of the Year', with the prestigious 'Player the Year' accolade going to euph star David Woodward.
