Youth players are to be given the opportunity to hear British Open champion Grimethorpe Colliery Band in concert action for free in May.
The iconic Yorkshire band will be perform at St Andrew's Hall, Norwich on Sunday 8th May in an event promoted by the East Anglian Brass Band Association at 6.30pm.

And in a fantastic move to help encourage young people into brass banding, and with support from Norwich Town Close Estate Charity and the Norfolk Music Hub, the Association has been able to offer 250 free tickets to musicians from Norwich and the surrounding area for the concert.
Applications, which should be sent to the Association, will only be accepted from brass bands or schools in the area and will be issued on a first come basis.
Tickets are also on sale to the general public with a £3 discount per ticket available on those tickets purchased before 31 March.

Association Chairman Christine Wade told 4BR: "We are delighted that Grimethorpe is to perform at St Andrew's Hall and that we are able to offer young musicians from the area the opportunity to hear such a talented band."
The concert follows the Association's Solo & Quartet contest which will be held earlier in the day in the adjoining Blackfriar's Hall. Closing date for entries is 2nd April.
