Irvine & Dreghorn present local showcase

The Irvine & Dreghorn Band warm up for Perth with a showcase concert for local supporters.

Irvine and Dreghorn

Irvine & Dreghorn Band recently held a free concert at their local Old Parish Church Hall, where the organisation showcased its talents to an appreciative audience — from its fledgling 'brasslets' to its senior band.

What we do

Band Treasurer Kelda McMichael told 4BR: "We had a great turn out at the concert and a lovely spread of tea, coffee and home baking was laid on by the Church. We loved playing the concert and showing our local supporters what we can do."

It's our 40th anniversary this year and we really appreciate the local links we have built up across Irvine and North AyrshireIrvine & Dreghorn

Awards

As well as the music, annual band awards were announced, whilst a presentation was also made to the band by Deacon Andy Clift-Skinners on behalf of Incorporated Trades.

Kelda added: "We'd like to thank the Incorporated Trades for their continued support of the band over many years. It's our 40th anniversary this year and we really appreciate the local links we have built up across Irvine and North Ayrshire."
