New MD at Ifton

Scott Robert Lloyd has been appointed the new MD at Ifton Colliery Band

Ifton

Ifton Colliery Band has announced the appointment of Scott Robert Lloyd as their new Musical Director.

Impressive portfolio

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Scott is a former military musician who has an impressive portfolio as a performer and conductor with a string of successes already under his belt.

He brings with him a wealth of experience, not only as a brass band conductor but also in orchestral conducting and as the current MD of the accomplished Wirral Symphonic Wind Band."

Demanding schedule

They added: "We have a demanding schedule of engagements lined up for the year including our Centenary Concert and Scott's enthusiasm will now add a few more engagements to that list. It's not hard to be excited about the band's future under his ambitious care."

I'm really looking forward to working with the band. Most of the players I have known since I was a boy, so it just feels like I've come homeScott Robert Lloyd

Looking forward

Scott himself added: "I'm really looking forward to working with the band. Most of the players I have known since I was a boy, so it just feels like I've come home."
