Foden's Band has said a musical thank you to some of their finest supporters at their recent annual Patrons Concert at Sandbach School.

The event gives the band a chance to show their appreciation of their loyal support by providing a free concert each February.

CD launch

As usual, the hall was packed with over 500 Patrons at an event which also saw the launch of their latest CD — appropriately entitled 'Patron's Choice IX'.

Under the direction of MD Michael Fowles, the audience was treated to items from the release, whilst there was a welcome return appearance by former Musical Director Prof Nicholas Childs.

He will lead Foden's at the North West Regional Championship in Blackpool this weekend, and gave the audience a preview of Philip Sparke's 'Cambridge Variations'.

The concert also saw the band presents its annual awards, with Sarah Lenton taking the 'Player of the Year' trophy and Richard Poole claiming the 'Bandsperson of the Year' accolade.
