Farr takes the lead in student tuition

Besson star Owen Farr leads the way in student tuition at the recent UniBrass Championship.

Workshop

Tenor horn virtuoso Owen Farr led a series of inspirational workshops, masterlcasses and rehearsals at the UniBrass Championship at the University of Warwick on the weekend, sponsored by Besson Musical Instruments.

Star help

Owen was joined by stars Richard Marshall, Matthew Routley, James McLeod and Steve Jones on the Saturday, when over 60 delegates enjoyed the opportunity of picking up tips, whilst fellow horn player Hannah Drage joined the line-up on the Sunday (above) to help 240 students rid themselves of celebratory hangovers with some great workshops and masterclasses.

Brilliant

"It was a brilliant two days,"Owen told 4BR: "The UniBrass Championship offers something for everyone — so on the Saturday we were able to work with over 60 people who signed up for the day, and then help the students round off a memorable weekend on the Sunday.

Buffet Crampon and Besson are committed to help inspire players of all ages — and to support such a great event as UniBrass. I think that stars such as Richard, Matt, Steve, James and Hannah did just that and more.

The response and enthusiasm of everyone who took part was amazing — especially as I'm sure quite a few didn't have too much sleep on Saturday night!Owen Farr

Not much sleep

Owen added: "The response and enthusiasm of everyone who took part was amazing — especially as I'm sure quite a few didn't have too much sleep on Saturday night!"
