Foden's Band recently made their annual trip to Northern Ireland as guests of Armagh Old Boy's Band.
It was the sixteenth time Foden's has linked up with the band as they once again held a three-hour rehearsal, accompanied 35 young soloists, and provided invaluable performance tips.
After lunch the band performed a concert involving all the soloists to a large and appreciative audience of proud parents, supporters and tutors.
Great maturity and progress
The mixed ability soloists and groups showed great maturity and understanding of demanding pieces, as Armagh continues to ensure the vibrant future of banding across the Irish Sea.
The evening concert belonged to Foden's who performed tracks from their latest CD 'Patrons' Choice IX'.
Return
A team of tutors from Foden's will return to Armagh between the 8th and 13th August to hold their 16th consecutive Summer School which each year attracts between 80 to 100 participants.
Once again we have had a great time and such a rewarding weekend, and it's always satisfying to see the progress that the various soloists have made each yearMark Wilkinson.
Great time
Speaking about the trip Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "Once again we have had a great time and such a rewarding weekend, and it's always satisfying to see the progress that the various soloists have made each year.
