The Deepcar Band has appointed Cathryn Rogers as their new MD.

Deepcar Brass has announced the appointment of Cathryn Rogers as their new conductor.

First appearance

Cathryn started work with the Yorkshire band last week and will be making her first appearance with them at the forthcoming Unite the Union Regional test-piece preview night on the 21st February.

She told 4BR: "I'm really enjoying working with Deepcar and I'm excited to start my conducting journey just before the Area. The band has a brilliant sound and real talent around the stand. I look forward to a long and happy future with them."

She brings a youthful approach and energy and as a band are always happy to give up and coming conductors a chance to shine. We hope for a bright future with herBand Chairman, James Broadhead
