Brighouse & Rastrick Band is making its way to London today to pay its musical tribute to the television and radio broadcaster Terry Wogan, who died on the weekend.
One Show
The band will appear live on the prime-time BBC 'One Show' at 7.00pm to perform 'The Floral Dance' in honour of the Irishman who reached number 21 in the pop charts, accompanied by the Hanwell Band, with his own version of the famous Cornish song in 1978.
Half a million
Brighouse was kept off the number 1 spot in 1977 by none other than Paul McCartney, with their version, arranged by Derek Broadbent selling over half a million copies.

Brilliant response
Trombone player Ryan Watkins told 4BR: "We got the rather unexpected call and were asked if we could do something.
Even at such short notice the players have responded brilliantly and as many as possible will be heading to London by car, bus and train this afternoon in time to perform in uniform for the live 7.00pm broadcast at the Broadcasting House studios."
