Brass players in the East of Scotland have been urged to submit their entries for the area's forthcoming 'Solo & Ensemble' contest — and take up the opportunity of learning from one of the finest tenor horn players in the business.
Call
The call comes ahead of the East of Scotland Solo & Ensemble Championships, which will take place in Whitburn Academy, Whitburn, on Saturday, January 23rd.
Besson artist Owen Farr will judge the event, which get underway at 9.30am with categories for performers aged 12 and under, 16 and under and 21 and under. Qualifiers will earn a place at the Besson Scottish Solo & Ensemble Championships which take place on February 6th.
Sunday workshop
Owen will also lead a workshop on Sunday January 24th, also in Whitburn Academy.
