Versatile Brass leaves its Legacy

The final ever concert performance by the James Shepherd Versatile Brass is now available on DVD.

Legacy

As previously reported on 4BR in December, the last ever concert performance by the James Shepherd Versatile Brass is now available on DVD.

Curtain down

After forty three years of innovative music-making, the iconic brass group bid farewell in the presence of its founder and some of its former players in Delph, Saddleworth, at the end of last year for what was a memorable evening that also featured World Whistling Champion, David Morris.

Proceeds to NCBBGB

At £5 with proceeds going to the National Children's Brass Band of Great Britain, the DVD is entitled 'Legacy' in tribute to its founder and inspiration to many, James Shepherd.

The disc features concert items from the evening, along with the legendary Black Dyke cornet player, making an acceptance speech having received a personal portrait from the current members.

Requests from far and wide

A spokesperson for Versatile Brass told 4BR: "The night in Delph was an emotional farewell and we have had requests for orders from various parts of the globe for copies of the DVD. This is your chance to purchase the final part of the JSVB musical story ".

The recording contains the odd surprise and trip down memory lane during its duration.
