The organisers of the French Open Championship have revealed the list of set-works that will be used at the 22nd running of the popular event in 2016.
Da Vinci
A brand new work, entitled, 'Da Vinci' from the pen of the talented Swiss composer Ludovic Neurohr will test the bands in the Championship Section, whilst Edward Gregson's popular 'Essay' will form the stern test for those in the First Section.
'Cross Patonce' by Goff Richards has been set for the Second Section with Eric Ball's classic 'Main Street' in the Third. The Fourth Section contenders will have to get to grips with Simon Dobson's innovative 'Lydian Pictures'.
Flowers return
The Gala Concert will feature Flowers Band under the baton of Paul Holland, who return to Amboise for the first time since winning the title in 2013.
The event kicks off with the March Contest in front of the iconic Chateau (above) — the final resting place of Leonardo da Vinci, whilst the entertainment part of the contest takes place in the heart of the picturesque Loire Valley town.
