The recently formed Foden's Junior Band is gearing up for their first ever performance, less than 3 months after they first came together in rehearsal.
Extension
Following its September launch, the band has taken off rapidly, offering great opportunities for Grade 2-5 players to receive monthly guidance from Foden's conductors, tutors and star soloists, and forms an extension to the existing Foden's family which includes the Foden's Youth Band formed in 2012.
The project is run in partnership with Accent Music Education Hub and Foden's Youth Band's existing partners Besson and the Royal Northern College of Music.
Invitation
The Junior Band has accepted an invitation to perform alongside another relatively new ensemble — the Love Music Trust Primary Brass Band as well as a number of other ensembles in a concert at their local Sandbach School later this month.

Delighted
Foden's Youth Band co-ordinator Ian Raisbeck told 4BR: "I'm delighted that the young players have not had to wait long before performing in public for the first time.
