Lawson and Loxley to help commemorate the fallen

Brighouse & Rastrick cornet star to help commemorate those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Brighouse & Rastrick's principal cornet Kyle Lawson is to join forces with Loxley Silver Band to raise funds for the Help for Heroes charity and the Royal British Legion, as part of the Poppy Memorial Trail at High Bradfield on the outskirts of Sheffield.

Poppies to Proms

The Geneva Instruments International Performance Artist will perform as part of the 'Poppies to Proms' event that the band is presenting on 6th November at St Nicholas' Church, High Bradfield — home of the popular annual Bradfield Music Festival.

The Poppy Memorial Trail will incorporate plaques in the shape of poppies, inscribed with names to honour those killed in the two World Wars and other conflicts4BR

The Poppy Memorial Trail has been created at High Bradfield ahead of Remembrance Sunday, and will incorporate plaques in the shape of poppies, inscribed with names to honour those killed in the two World Wars and other conflicts.

The 'Poppy Memorial Trail' will be up to a third of a mile long and will mark a path from St Nicholas' Church in High Bradfield to the village's War Memorials.
