The 13th US Open Championship will take place at the Norris Center for the Performing Arts in St. Charles, Illinois on November 7th.
Entertainment
Modelled on the 'Brass in Concert' concept of 25-minute entertainment programming, the winners, will be decided by a panel of judges charged with awarding up to 100 points for musical presentation and an additional 25 points for entertainment value.
The 2015 winner will be invited to participate at the 2016 Brass in Concert Championship.
Top hat
As always there will be additional cash prizes, trophies and awards as well as the popular 'Busker's Top-Hat' event, which sees various ensembles battle it out at a local pub for the proceeds of a top-hat full of dollar bills.
This year's adjudicators are Adam Frey and Dr. Glen Flanigan, with the event sponsored by the Yamaha Corporation of America with addition support from the likes of Getzen Corp, Schilke and Smith-Watkins.
The contest begins at 9.30am on Saturday, November 7th, with the final results announced at the Gala Dinner later the same night.
