Brighouse join forces for Poppy Appeal

Brighouse & Rastrick Band will join the fanfare forces of The King's Division Band for the launch of the annual Poppy Appeal in Kirklees.

The fanfare team of the King's Division Band will join Brighouse & Rastrick Band to help launch the annual Poppy Appeal for the Royal British Legion in the Kirklees region of Yorkshire later this month.

A Kirklees spokesperson told 4BR: "This exciting combination, in their resplendent contrasting colours of red and purple, will exude class both in sight and sound under the baton of Rob Wiffin OBE, former RAF Principal Director of Music.

Apart from military touches in the choice of music, the programme also reflects the 70th anniversary of this iconic Massed Band series of concerts that have anchored Brighouse & Rastrick's annual promotions since 1945."
