Spiriti to be officially captured for Albert Hall…

Forget the bonkers claims of Psychic Sally — you will be able to get in touch with the 'Spiriti' of Albert Hall banding thanks to World of Sound

Albert Hall

If you want to ensure you capture the essence of the winning performance of 'Spiriti' this weekend to listen to time and time again, then you can — and officially too.

The brass band recording specialists at World of Sound have once again been asked to provide the bespoke recording facilities for the National Championships at the Royal Albert Hall, and their expertise will ensure that each of the 20 performances of 'Spiriti' are captured for your enjoyment.

Official downloads

So forget about trying to get your hands on an illegal recording or copy from someone with no scruples and a rubbish tape recorder under their jacket — and instead invest in a proper musical reminder of a great test piece on a great occasion.

All performances will be available for general download from: www.worldofbrasstunes.com a few days after the contest.

One the day for the bands

Meanwhile, the bands themselves will be able to get an official recording of their performances on the day — at £6.00 each and with a minimum order of 5 CDs.

Orders from the competing bands can be placed, and the CDs collected on the day at the World of Brass trade stand.

Orders for CDs can still be processed after the Championship, although postage and packaging will be added.

Highlights

A 'Highlights' CD, including the winning Albert Hall performance, the winning performances from the Cheltenham National Finals and highlights from the concert will be available towards the end of November.
