Pendennis Brass Falmouth is seeking a new MD following the departure of conductor Steve Thomas.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "After a decade of unwavering dedication Steve Thomas has sadly decided to move on, returning to play euphonium.

Under his innovative direction we pulled together to achieve something extraordinary. At a time when so many bands across the country are struggling to survive, Pendennis Brass has risen from the doldrums of the Fourth Section to solid placements in the First."
