Bradwell boost from Big Lottery

Bradwell Silver Band has received a huge boost to their transport and appearance thanks to the Big Lottery.

Bradwell

Bradwell Silver Band has been awarded funds from the Big Lottery, allowing them to purchase new uniforms and band trailer.

Busy band

Spokesperson Stephanie Chappell told 4BR: "We are a busy band with a jam packed schedule throughout the year.

Our uniforms are a major factor in our brand image and the support from the Big Lottery will allow us to replace our tired but well used jackets.

Of course the logistics of getting the band equipment and instruments to engagements is just as important, so we are delighted to be able to purchase a new band trailer.

The support from the Big Lottery is invaluable to a small community band, which is now 115 years old, and will help keep us marching on."

Development Band

The grant from the Big Lottery will also allow the band to commit other funds to its ever-growing Development Band, which now boasts 28 playing members.
