The Foden's Youth Band will kick off its fourth academic year with a full weekend of tutor sessions and rehearsals.

These have been designed to introduce players to the new repertoire for the term as well as providing an opportunity for valuable team building.

Hard work

It all starts on Saturday (26th September) and will end on Sunday at Sandbach Boys School with an afternoon concert featuring guests, Lions Youth Brass and Macclesfield Youth Brass Band.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "During the last academic year Foden's Youth Band continued to develop in many areas thanks to support received from Besson, Love Music Trust and the RNCM.

Over the past year the band commissioned new works, promoted concerts in new venues and even received its first ever set of stand banners."

As ever the work never stops and we already have some exciting plans in place for the forthcoming months, including a first ever two day course and a CD recording sessionproject co-ordinator Ian Raisbeck

Never stops

Founder and project co-ordinator Ian Raisbeck added: "As ever the work never stops and we already have some exciting plans in place for the forthcoming months, including a first ever two day course and a CD recording session.

This all comes hot on the heels of the recent launch of Foden's Junior Band which also starts this weekend."
