Burry Port boost ahead of home assault

Burry Port Town gains a boost of player strength ahead of their home town Welsh League contest next month.

Burry Port

Burry Port Town has announced the signing of two players as they look to retain their Welsh League Championship title on home turf next month.

The West Wales band welcomes Julian Smith on Eb tuba following spells at Llwydcoed and Pontardulais, whilst Lucy Price, a former member of the National Youth Brass Band of Wales, makes a return to the solo cornet bench following a four year break.

Massive boost

Chairperson Sarah Jones, told 4BR: "Signing Julian and Lucy has provided a massive boost ahead of a busy autumn season.

Julian is an experienced player who will provide stability to the bass section, whilst Lucy, a product of both our junior and youth bands, is as a great demonstration of our commitment to build a sustainable future through youth music provision."
