The Brass Band of Battle Creek has announced that it has appointed Michael Garasi as its first permanent conductor in 25 years.

He has first-hand knowledge of how much, musically, a brass band can accomplish and his outstanding experience with the likes of Brass Band of Central Florida and Grimethorpe Colliery has served him well."

Following his highly successful tenure with Brass Band of Central Florida which made a startling impression on the banding world, Michael Garasi held the position of Music Director and Principal Conductor of the professional Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra for eight years.
His national profile has been enhanced further in recent years with acclaimed associations with many leading orchestras and critically acclaimed education programmes.
