Watership Brass from Newbury in Berkshire, has just returned from another successful European concert tour, where they performed to large and appreciative audiences in The Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany.
Baking heat
The last of these, in Monshcau, was also likely to have been the hottest concert ever given by the band, as Europe basked in +30C sunshine over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The 40 strong tour-party also found time during the five day trip to enjoy a boat cruise down the River Maas and go on various site-seeing excursions.
Awards
The band voted percussionist Martyn Adams as its 'Player's Player of the Tour', whilst the band's MD Mark Picken made principal euphonium James Cox and the solo cornet bench the 'Player' and 'Section' of the tour respectively

Fantastic trip
MD Mark Picken told 4BR: "It was a fantastic trip, with three great outdoor concert venues, large audiences and perfect weather.
The organising team did a very professional job in arranging the complex logistics. This has been a truly memorable way to celebrate the band's 35th anniversary."
