East Yorkshire Motor Services Band has bid a fond farewell to solo baritone player Bob Morton, who has taken the difficult personal decision to end his association with the North of England band after 18 highly enjoyable months.
Valued member
EYMS Chairman Tony Newiss told 4BR: "During his stay Bob proved himself a valued member and a wonderful character who will be really missed.
We have been delighted that he felt joining EYMS ticked all the right boxes for him in terms of band quality, friendships gained and our great social life."

All the best
He added: "Losing a player of Bob's calibre and experience would be a blow to any band, especially as he always put the band first even with his increasingly busy work commitments. We wish Bob and Martina all the best for the future."
EYMS, who are currently working towards a trio of entertainment contests in the shape of the Dr Martins contest at Yarm, Bolsover Festival of Brass and the Brass in Concert Championships, will announce Bob's successor shortly.
