Derwent Brass has acted quickly to replace the loss of long term repiano player Chris Lock due to travelling commitments, by announcing the signing of Dan Hudson.
Experience
Dan joins from Leicester Co-op where he played solo cornet for 11 years and was a key player in their significant rise from the Fourth to Championship Section as of 2016.
Over the years the experienced player has performed with many Midland's bands and more recently has enjoyed successes in ensemble competitions.
Dan brings a very positive attitude which makes him such a good player and bandsman, which is so important for Derwent BrassMD, Keith Leonard.
Positive
MD Keith Leonard, told 4BR: "Dan brings a very positive attitude which makes him such a good player and bandsman, which is so important for Derwent Brass.
Together we have set out a clear plan for him to flourish further as repiano cornet, and I'm confident that as we deliver this the whole section will also continue to grow and improve.
I hope Dan's stay with us is a long and enjoyable one."
