There will be a trio of McDowells in the ranks of Arklow Shippng Band from now on as 10 year old Dorrie joins up with mum and dad.
Arklow Shipping Band's newest and youngest member, Dorrie McDowell, aged 10, recently made her tenor horn debut at the Arklow Maritime Festival.

Anchored firmly between her father Peter on flugel and mother Esme on trombone (above), it was a great occasion for both family and band to cherish.
The band has enjoyed a busy summer programme and is finalising plans for a new school of music.
