Army link strengthened at Sandhurst Silver

The musical link between Sandhurst Silver Band and military musicians has been strengthened with new MD appointments.

Andrew Porter

Sandhurst Silver Band has announced their new conducting partnership of Ian Peaple, a former Director of Music in the British Army, and Andrew Porter (above), current Bandmaster of The Band of The Irish Guards.

Both musicians know the band well: Ian has played and conducted Sandhurst in recent years and Andrew more recently has been playing solo euphonium as well as standing in when required for former MD Ian McElligott.

Both MD's are excellent musicians and will help further develop the bandSandhurst Silver Band.
