The Clifton & Lightcliffe Band will be off on their brass banding travels once again this week as they visit the Lake Maggiore area in Italy for what promises to a wonderful musical tour.
The band will be based at the lakeside Regina Palace Hotel in Stresa, and during their stay they will entertain both residents and visitors with four concerts in the immediate area.
Another first
Secretary Jane Clay told 4BR: "The trip has been organised and we are really grateful to Lyndon Stacey who lives in Italy and has been instrumental in assisting us with the setting up of the concerts.
It's another tour 'first' for the band following trips Austria, France, Switzerland and California in the last ten years."

Local Mayor
The first concert is on Saturday at Ispra, a pretty town across the Lake from Stresa, hosted by the local Mayor.
The band will then travel north to Condino to play as guests of the Corpo Musicale G. Verdi — banda di Condino, who have a 500 seat theatre adjacent to their bandroom, before Monday sees them back at the Regina Palace.
On Tuesday the band has been asked to perform at the Milan Expo world trade fair which attracts over 2 million visitors.
